A community, not just a charity
The Friends of UCLH have been supporting UCLH for many years and, before that, supported the hospitals which came together to form UCLH.
Kết quả xổ số Quảng NamWe fund ‘extras’ – things that the NHS doesn’t provide or can’t afford. Extras can be for patients or staff or both. We have investments which give us a small income. We fundraise as well because there are more demands on us than our income will cover. You can find our accounts on the Charity Commission website.
We’ve been especially active in 2020:
- In April-June, the Friends approved 27 grants worth £38k, most of them to support staff during the COVID-19 crisis.
- The Friends of UCLH and the UCLH Charity are each giving £30k this year to support UCLH’s arts and heritage work
- The Exemplar Ward programme will again receive a Friends grant – this year £9k
- The urology outpatient department at Westmoreland Street has been given £4,500 for new waiting area chairs
